Our Brand New Kitchen

We held the first cooking session in our brand new kitchen on Friday.

The senior students prepared a Zucchini and marjoram gratin, a Creamy Mediterranean pasta salad with homemade pesto and Rhubarb, banana and apple muffins.

The junior students baked Easter biscuits.

We harvested garlic, rhubarb, zucchini, apples, tomatoes, cucumbers, marjoram and basil from both our school garden and Claire's garden.

We are so grateful to John and Kaylene for volunteering their time and skills; our community is strengthened by your involvement.

Leadership Badges

Recently we hosted a special assembly to present Leadership Badges.

Congratulations to Jose for being awarded School Captain, Xavier is our Student Voice Representative, Chase is our Information Technology Leader, Sienna is our Kitchen Garden mentor and Gen and Jack are the Sports Captains.

Jose and William R were both presented with certificates for demonstrating one of our school values of teamwork.

It was wonderful to have so many members of our community present at assembly.

DREAM City Experience

It was a very exciting day on Monday for our last Cluster Steam Day at Trawalla.

"DREAM City" came along and the students got to experience Robotics, Virtual Reality and Electronics in person and it was so engaging and so much fun for all the kids.

Football Clinic

Footy Clinic at Amphitheatre PS!

This morning we were lucky to have Matt Begbie hold a Football Clinic with our students.

Everyone had a great time learning Football Skills and playing games utilising the skills they learnt in games.

A special thanks to Matt for taking the time to come out and coach them.

Kitchen and Garden Activity

On Friday we welcomed back staff and students Trawalla and Natte Yallock to join in our kitchen and garden activities.

It was a real Mexican feast!

We prepared Cheese and Spinach Tortillas, Chilli non Carne with soft tacos and we had Rhubarb and Ricotta turnovers.

We used celery and spring onions from our school garden and rhubarb from Claire’s home garden. We wanted to use our carrots from the school garden but unfortunately they were not ready to be harvested yet.

The junior students made individual snack bags using popcorn, dried apricots, sultanas and pumpkin seeds.

A special thank-you to Natalie and Kaylene once again for volunteering.

We love the feeling of small communities working together to provide an enriching and progressive education for our students.

Avoca Kindergarten Visit

On Tuesday we went to the Avoca Kinder to read our big book for the week "Giraffe's Can't Dance ".

After we showed off our reading skills, we enjoyed playing in their amazing playground.

It was great to see Logan who will be joining us next year.

Thanks to the team at the Avoca Kinder for making us feel so welcome.
